As the 62nd President of the Connecticut Jaycees, I want to welcome you to the Connecticut Jaycees Website. If you have just joined, I want to congratulate you for seizing the opportunity to join the greatest organization for young adults in the world! Not only are you a member of your local chapter, you are a member of the Connecticut Jaycees, United States Jaycees and Junior Chamber International.
I joined the Jaycees for two reasons: networking and community service. I never imagined the innumerable benefits that have come along with my membership like leadership development, project management skills and friends that I will keep for life.
The Connecticut Jaycees are an organization unlike any other. We help thousands of people around the state through the many projects our chapters run each year, whether it’s doling out turkeys to the community around Thanksgiving, singing Christmas carols in a convalescent home, running a haunted house to raise money for the community or even running the Travelers Championship PGA Tour event.
Being part of the Connecticut Jaycees affords you a myriad of opportunities to develop your leadership abilities, serve the community, network to make social or business connections and to grow personally.
This is going to be an exciting year for the Connecticut Junior Chamber. This year’s Board of Directors brings a fresh perspective and a new attitude to the leadership of our State. We are bringing lots of new ideas and big plans to bring our State to a whole new level and the buzz is getting louder.
We have started the year strong and we are just gaining momentum. This is going to be a great year for the Jaycees as we continue to grow and to develop the leaders of today and for tomorrow.
We are breaking the mold in 2007, so what are you waiting for? This is your chance to improve yourself while making a significant impact in your community.
